One Crafty Bitch: Holiday Tag Exchange 2014

SUPER LATE POST ALERT! Ok, now that that's out of the way...

This past holiday season I took part in a holiday tag exchange and I took this opportunity to try out some new paper crafting techniques that I have been meaning to for a long time now. Specifically - using water colour paints to create backgrounds and using embossing paste with a stencil. I have to say, for a first attempt, I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.

Because I was playing around, every tag came out looking pretty differently & I like that!

I went with a sentiment that had a Christmassy feel but was still multi-purpose enough to be used for winter birthdays, hostess gifts, etc as well.

I can't believe the time has finally come. The first of my friends is set to get married this summer. I'm sure it's going to open the flood-gates and from here on out, summertime will be wedding time for me. I'm definitely cool with that.

Yesterday was my first bridal shower for someone who was not a family member. It was an adorable couples barbecue on a day that turned from dark skies into completely beautiful as the party started.

I took this occasion as a great reason to make the first card in what feels like FOREVER.

I am completely in love with the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan line from American Crafts. Summery and sweet and perfect for the happy couple.
